Explore wins National Award
NECLL is delighted to announce that Explore is the winner of the 2010 UALL Lifelong Learning Award.
The prize was awarded by the Universities Association for Lifelong Learning at the University of Oxford on Monday evening .
There was stiff competition for the national award this year, with 17 entries, and 5 short-listed. Entries came from a wide variety of organizations engaged in university lifelong learning around the UK, including some collaborative projects involving a number of institutions.
Each entry was assessed on the criteria of “creativity, innovation, sustainability, impact and transferability”.
However, the decision in favour of Explore was unanimous.
This national recognition by experts in Lifelong Learning and adult education is an achievement of which the University, the Explore Team, our fantastic tutors and of course our members are very pleased and proud.
Congratulations to everyone who has supported our new venture in lifelong learning.
